The ABO and KFO are about to start talks

For a long time in Ethiopia, the ruling party refused to be for dialogue with the Oromo parties. Now, there are rumors that the ruling Government and two parties are about to start talks. The Oromo political parties, the Oromo Liberation Front and the Oromo Federalist Congress, began talks with the ruling government on Wednesday morning, sources told the BBC.
The two parties, which are believed to have many supporters in Oromia, did not participate in the last elections or the national dialogue in Ethiopia. A source told the BBC that the talks have been going on for more than two weeks and that government leaders should meet with the leaders of the two political parties.
After the leaders of both parties spoke to the government bodies, the leaders of both parties presented the matter to their executive committee for discussion. βIt was made against the executive committee that we were asked for such a statement. After discussing it, we figured out who would be involved in the discussion. We have also identified the party leaders, executive committee, elders and intellectuals involved,β a source told the BBC.
Accordingly, representatives elected from both parties are expected to arrive at the hotel on Tuesday evening to participate in the talks with the government and the talks are expected to start on Wednesday morning. There is nothing yet on the content of the talks with the two parties operating in Oromia, the ABO fI KFO, and how many days they will last.
If the talks are true and an agreement is reached, they are expected to give a statement to the media. Perhaps if an agreement is reached in the talks between the two parties and the Government of Ethiopia, the armed forces in the forest in Ethiopia and the ruling Government are expected to come to a peace and negotiation agreement.
